Frustration mounts as Dannhauser is still without water

Angry Dannhauser residents have voiced their frustration with Amajuba District Municipality as they enter the third day without water.

A power outage on Monday meant that there was no electricity at the water plant and so water levels dropped drastically. When the power did return, Amajuba confirmed that they had turned off the supply of water, to allow the reservoir to fill.
They promised that the water would be opened again soon.
On Tuesday there was still no water, with Amajuba continuing to say that it would be back soon.

On Wednesday, they reported that there was a leak on Tuesday night which left water levels just above 8%.

The leak has since been repaired but the wait continues for the reservoir to fill up so that water will flow through the taps of the town again.

The municipality apologised for any inconvenience caused via their social media profiles, however, it has been of little comfort to residents who are without water for over two days.
