Meet GPS’s human spell-checkers

Spelling Bee competitors: Abigail Singh, Okuhle Mbanjwa and Muhammad Hoffesse.

Last week Tuesday, July 31, three aspiring spellers from Glencoe Primary School took part in the second round of the Spelling Bee Competition at Amakhemfundo School.
The words were long and tough and Muhammed Hoffesse of Grade 6 took first place, and Abigail Singh of Grade 5 took second place.
Unfortunately, Okuhle Mbanjwa of Grade 4, was knocked out but GPS looks forward to seeing her next year. Muhammad and Abigail will now move on to the third round of the competition which will take place in August in Msinga.
Good luck to Muhammad and Abigail.
