Convincing sporting wins for DHS

Die eerste krieketspan het ‘n oortuigende wen oor Vryheid Landbou gehad op Woensdag, 6 September. Hulle het Landbou gewen met 10 paaltjies. Die o/15’s het Donderdag, 7 September, in ‘n taai stryd gelykop gespeel teen Ferrum.
DHS soccer
On Tuesday, September 5, the first team soccer boys travelled to Ferrum to play their league match. They won 3-2. The girls, unfortunately, lost 2-3. DHS also played against Vryheid Landbou on Wednesday. The junior boys won 4-2 and the first team boys won 3-0. The girls won 2-1. On Thursday, the teams played against Vryheid. The girls drew 0-0, junior boys won 3-0 and the first team boys won 3-2. DHS thanks the players for their exceptional behaviour!
On Saturday, September 9, DHS played against Newcastle High and won their games convincingly. They also managed to end second overall for the day. Thanks to all the learners who participate and hold the school’s name high.
DHS art exhibition at Talana Museum
The Grade 12 art class held their annual art exhibition in the conference hall at Talana Museum Museum last Wednesday, and the evening was characterised by some eclectic work on the walls. There were good pieces here that caught the eye, particularly a work by Sanele Myaka, which had been dubbed the Blue Elephant. Their teacher, Chantal Carter, expressed her satisfaction with a number of the paintings.
