20 years of excellence at Ichthus School

On Saturday, August 5, Ichthus hosted their inter-house athletics meeting which was approached with great enthusiasm by all the learners, staff, old scholars and friends. Ichthus was blessed to have Sean Moore from ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) open the athletics meeting and spend the rest of the weekend celebrating with the school.
Congratulations to all the participants who performed so well. The following athletes were awarded trophies and medals:
Junior Victrix Ludorum: Lubanzi Mosia; Junior Victor Ludorum: Khwezi Molefe; Senior Victrix Ludorum: Amy-Faith Stein; Senior Victor Ludorum: Siphume Ntombela.
Best u/9 boy: Raphael Mazibuko; Best u/9 girl: Entle Zondi.
Best individual achievement of the day: Faith Mazibuko for u/10 Shotput with a total of 788 points on the ASA table.
Best individual achievement of the day, including Turbo Javelin/Cricket Ball Throw: Khwezi Kheswa for u/7 Cricket Ball Throw with a total of 856 points on the ASA table.
The following records have been improved:
Boys Cricket Ball Throw (u/7) – Khwezi Kheswa; Girls Discus (u/13) – Amy-Faith Stein.
Girls 600m (u/8) – Azokwakha Mdiniso; Girls 100m (u/13) – Amy-Faith Stein.
Girls Turbo Javelin (u/10) – Faith Mazibuko.
Ichthus would like to thank Dundee High School for the use of their athletics facilities. Thank you to all the teachers and parents who are involved in training the athletes during the season and who helped as officials.
Ichthus looks forward to the Northern KZN Athletics which will be hosted by Domino Servite School in Kranskop this weekend, August 12.
