Pet owners warned of ‘cruel shooter’ lurking in suburbs

Pet lovers are warned to be on the look-out for an ‘airgun brandishing person’ who is said to have shot at least two pets.
Residents in the Friis Street area, between Smith and Oldacre Streets, reported finding that a cat had been shot in one eye and in the head. A dog had also been shot.
Caring resident, Dion Murdey, took the injured cat to a nearby vet for treatment. There were also unconfirmed reports of animals being shot in the Strathmore Park area.
Residents are urged to report any ‘suspicious activity’ to the police or SPCA.
